SOLD...It's not often that I use the term "custom" with the term "manufactured home", but in this case it is absolutely warranted. This 2004 custom manufactured home is located on a corner lot on an elevated site that overlooks Squaw Valley. This really is a unique opportunity to obtain a top end custom manufactured home.
This 3br2ba home features 1,980sqft of gracious living. The exterior is all Hardy Board cement siding with 2x6 construction and the home is sited on a full perimeter concrete foundation. This home has a dramatic feel with a wide formal entry into an open floor plan highlighted by 9 foot coffered ceilings. Living and kitchen areas have wood laminate flooring. The huge living room features a rock faced fireplace framed by custom built in bookshelves. The oversize kitchen has an informal dining area, custom cabinetry, island food prep counter, and custom lighting and fixtures plus upgraded appliances including a microwave/convection oven. The isolated master suite has a separate library/office leading to the master bedroom which has coffered ceilings and corner windows. The master bath has tile floors, a corner soaking tub, and separate shower. The utility room offers a deep sink and cabinet storage.
The home has full length and fully finished porches with skylights down both sides. The front porch has a full length fenced wood deck with both lighting and ceiling fans that has a fantastic view of all of Squaw Valley. In addition, there is a large open concrete patio on the east side of the home.
A paved drive from the road leads to the home and its large 3 car detached garage. The home and garage are separated by a very attractive landscape feature that includes some nice conifers. The lot is 4.5 acres with wide road frontage that ensures that there will never be a close neighbor. This is a hillside parcel but there are plenty of open areas for further development that also provide additional panoramic views to the south. This is a very interesting property that has a mix of terrains and a very serene setting.
How about any negatives? Not much negative to say on this one. The landscape irrigation system will need a bit of repair. Only the main home area has been developed and the property is not fenced. On the other hand, that provides the new owner with a blank canvas to fill in as they wish.
This might very well be the nicest manufactured home on the mountain. It is in excellent condition and is located in one of the nicest parts of Squaw Valley. It offers gracious living, terrific views, and easy access to Hwy 180. The pictures are nice but it shows even better in person.
