REDUCED...One of my favorite memories is running and sliding in my socks on my Grandma's wood floors. You don't find real wood floors anymore. This neat custom 2-story home has a unique blend of rustic and modern features, including real hardwood floors. It is located on a very quiet cul-de-sac lane with a huge panoramic view.
This is a very comfortable 3 bedroom 2 bath home with lots of modern features and almost 2,000 square feet of living area. The wide open floor plan features a great room with a massive tongue & groove open beamed ceiling, a very functional woodstove on a raised hearth with massive beamed mantel and surround, and a full wall of windows to take in the view. Don't worry about overheating with all those windows...every window in this home is triple pane for maximum energy efficiency. The great room opens out to a large wraparound deck. The natural wood stairs and railings are newly painted and really complete the rustic feel. The kitchen is very large and open with tons of cabinets and a large pantry. There's plenty of counter space and a great view from the kitchen sink. There are 3 spacious bedrooms, each with a great view, and the upstairs master is open lofted to the great room below. The home has split HVAC units for each level. The home has vinyl exterior siding which really complements the visual appeal of the setting. The oversize 2 car garage has plenty of work space area and an internal room that would make a nice hobby room or man cave. This is a very well maintained residence in great condition.
We would classify the lot as a view lot but there is plenty of room to build a shop and an area for a garden. A chain link fence gives the home a private yard area. The owner is a real model railroad buff and utilized the yard area to create a true masterpiece. Most of the railroad will be removed but it really serves to show just how creative an area you have to design your own landscape and the owner may be open to leaving a portion of the railroad. One of this property's more unique features is a huge rock outcropping that would make a terrific site for a gazebo and spa...the view from here is breathtaking and the spot is very private. There is a nice fenced patio off of the garage for BBQing and the entire property is fenced and cross-fenced for animals.
Tassel is a quiet cul-de-sac lane in a nice area of Squaw Valley about 6 miles south of Dunlap.
Downsides? Not many...like many view lots, the property doesn't have a huge amount of usable ground. The location is a ways off the highway but the roads are very good and travel time to the valley is about 45-50 minutes. The kitchen is a bit dated with the ceramic tile counters but everything has been very well maintained. The laundry is in the kitchen but it has a separate cabinet area next to the entrance into the garage.
Check this one out, folks...at $285,000, you won't find anything even half as nice within $30,000 of this home. This true custom country home will fit you like a glove.
